(Blackshear, Georgia) David Travis production manager for Composite Research, Inc. (CRI) announces the addition of new manufacturing jobs at the company’s Georgia facility. According to Travis, the new personnel will join in the assembly of the Sea Born brand of bay boats.
“We’re adding new staff in order to keep up with the rise in demand. Looking forward and based on our sales numbers, we expect to break a few of our production records this year.” says Travis. CRI claims sales increases over the past eighteen months are a market response to its FX series of boats which are designed to meet the high demand of anglers while also serving as a source of family recreation.
“Following the 2008 downturn, it became apparent that a one-trick pony just wouldn’t cut it. Our customers demand value. They want creature comforts, versatility, and better fuel economy. The FX series lets Sea Born owners do a lot of serious fishing but at the same time they can cruise with their family or friends in comfort.” says Wally Bell President of Composite Research.
In addition to jobs, the company has also recently added its newest model, the Sea Born FX24 Tournament Bay Boat. Outside of its sleek appearance, the FX24 is packed with many of the most requested features buyers have come to expect in top bay boats. “The 24 includes three fish boxes, full sized, rear-cushioned folding jump seats, blue tooth enabled stereo and USB power port for a smartphone or tablet.” continues Bell.
Later this year CRI states that it will release a smaller and affordable 21-foot center console to their SX series of boats. According to Bell, “The reduced price and appeal to offshore fisherman will make the 21 very attractive. Our dealers have already begun placing advanced orders and as the pace picks up, we’ll continue to add more production personnel” says Bell.
